Vigil: Destination Alerts
By downloading, installing, or using Vigil: Destination Alerts ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms apply to all users of the app regardless of how it was obtained.
Vigil is intended for personal, lawful use only. You agree not to use the app in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
You are solely responsible for how you use the app, including:
Vigil requires access to your device's location to deliver alerts. You are responsible for granting and managing location permissions through your iPhone's Settings.
Alert delivery depends on your device's location accuracy, battery state, iOS background processing behavior, and other factors outside of our control. We cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered at exactly the expected time or distance.
Alert sounds are controlled by your iPhone's system volume. If your device is silenced, in Do Not Disturb mode, or set to a low volume, you may not hear an alert even if it is delivered successfully. We recommend ensuring your volume is at an audible level before relying on Vigil for an important destination.
Vigil is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alerts will always be delivered accurately or on time.
Alert delivery can be affected by factors including but not limited to:
You should not rely on Vigil as your sole method of awareness when punctuality or safety is critical.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Devin Gendron shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of Vigil — including but not limited to missed stops, missed appointments, or any harm resulting from a failure to receive an alert.
By using the app you acknowledge and accept that alerts are a convenience feature and that you remain responsible for your own travel awareness at all times.
If you use iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We have no control over Apple's services and are not responsible for any iCloud outages, data loss, or changes to Apple's platform.

Vigil and all associated assets, designs, and code are the property of Devin Gendron. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the app without explicit written permission.
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. When we do, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
